Services Description

A variety of services are provided through the family planning program. Those services are:

• Taking of complete medical history
• Physical examination
• Pap smears for cervical cancer screening
• Clinical breast examinations for breast cancer screening, and education on self breast examinations
• Education on contraception, contraceptive methods
• Provision of birth control methods
• Pregnancy testing
• Screening for anemia, high blood pressure, diabetes, and vaginal infections
• Education on sexually transmitted disease (STD) prevention
• STD testing and treatment
• Education on HIV/AIDS prevention and testing for HIV
• Referral to other health care providers and social service providers as indicated

The services are provided based on your ability to pay. Discounts are given according to your income.

• 58,220 Women received family planning services through our program
• 606 Men received family planning services through our program
• 39,969 Pap smears (cervical cancer screening) were provided
• 38,847 Clinical breast examinations (breast cancer screening) were provided
• 53,240 Tests for Sexually Transmitted Diseases were given
• 506 Tests for HIV were given
