What Do Family Planning Services Include?
- Contraceptive supplies, method-related counseling and regularly scheduled follow-up
appointments
- Routine gynecological care
- Infertility services
- Cervical and breast cancer screenings
- Medical examinations including medical histories, heart/lung examinations, thyroid checks,
and pelvic and rectal examinations
- Pregnancy tests and other lab tests
- Health screenings for vaginal infections, diabetes, anemia, sickle cell, high blood pressure and
genetic diseases
- Education and special counseling on such topics as breast self-examination, natural family
planning and smoking cessation
- HIV/AIDS prevention education, testing and counseling
- STD prevention education, testing, counseling and treatment

- Prenatal care
- Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition services
- Colposcopy and cryosurgery
